We are all rightly fed up with the continued problems on Compiegne Way, and I recently met with the Minister for Transport, Guy Opperman MP to directly raise concerns and to seek a way forward in how we can tackle the ongoing issues with flooding and condition of the road.

Later this week I have convened a roundtable of Suffolk Highways, West Suffolk councillors and local stakeholders to address the ongoing issues and to find a solution to the continued inconvenience that local residents, road users and businesses are experiencing.

Many constituents have directly shared their concerns with me already - if you would like to do so then please email me on [email protected]

I informed the Prime Minister recently of my decision to stand down at the next election. It has been a privilege & honour to serve the people of Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket. I wish my successor all the best in representing this most wonderful part of our United Kingdom.
