Suffolk MP Christmas Picture

It is a great honour to have been re-elected to represent the Bury St Edmunds constituency in Parliament. I will work for everyone in our community.

The last two years have not been easy. Now, with a Conservative majority in Westminster, we will be able to break the deadlock we have seen and move the debate on to delivering an exciting and transformative domestic agenda.

Now it is time to get to work. Working on the plans for a new hospital, ensuring fairer funding for our schools and more police on our streets. These are the top priorities on my list.

I am looking forward to continuing to work with Suffolk colleagues to make the case for investment in the A14 in Suffolk, as well as at Haughley and Ely Junctions on our rail network.

For now though, I would like to wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

I informed the Prime Minister recently of my decision to stand down at the next election. It has been a privilege & honour to serve the people of Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket. I wish my successor all the best in representing this most wonderful part of our United Kingdom.
