Mrs Churchill said: “I was delighted to meet both the tutors and clients of the Green Light Trust and see the valuable work they do for my constituents. Notably they are currently busy working on the Restoring the Repertoire project in Frithy Wood ensuring that unviable woodlands are secured for future generations. The tranquility of the setting and the programmes offered are hugely beneficial to the clients and the environment.

By engaging with people, communities and organisations through a range of specific education programmes focusing on world ecology and the natural environment, this excellent charity is doing great work in Suffolk. As the charity explained, volunteers are always welcome.”

Bury St Edmunds truly is the jewel in the crown of Suffolk and returning from Westminster, I am reminded of just how peaceful and restorative country living is. I too  was born and raised in the country and feel that it is important we protect the traditions and uniqueness of country life.
