West Suffolk Hospital is leading the way in immersive technology that can improve the delivery of health services and care for patients.

VR technology is being used to help train and educate medical professionals and during my visit to the Hospital, I tried out some of the kit for myself, experiencing how it’s put to the test for midwives and for the development of interactive patient and service user materials.

It’s clear that VR will play a major role in the future of our NHS, and with the recent announcement in the Budget of other measures such as £3.4bn for the use of AI to expand cancer diagnosis, technology will help to drive productivity for patients and improve access.
