On Wednesday 13th April, Jo Churchill MP will co-host with Matthew Hancock MP, a West Suffolk Food Fair to showcase the finest local produce from West Suffolk and Bury St Edmunds.

The event will host exhibitors from the region boasting longhorn beef from Kenton Hall Farm, Greene King beer and Alder Carr ice cream among many more.

To be held in Westminster Hall, the show will bring together local producers, businesses and leaders as well as industry representatives, to promote the interests of Suffolk produce and boost the local industries with contributions from Visit Suffolk. Visit Suffolk will also be using the event to launch their new interactive website. Members of Parliament and distinguished guests will be attending the event and sampling the very best of Suffolk food and drink.

In advance of the event, Jo Churchill MP says: “With just a month to go before our illustrious event, it is already shaping up to a fantastic opportunity to showcase our thriving food and drinks industry. I am always looking for ways to support our local businesses and I am delighted, in conjunction with Matthew Hancock MP, to be able to give our local farmers, bakers, brewers and more, this opportunity.

Bury St Edmunds truly is the jewel in the crown of Suffolk and returning from Westminster, I am reminded of just how peaceful and restorative country living is. I too  was born and raised in the country and feel that it is important we protect the traditions and uniqueness of country life.
