Jo Churchill MP at international festival of learning 2019

West Suffolk College recently hosted the International Festival of Learning. The event focussed on professional development and insight for thousands of education professionals.

I was delighted to introduce Mary Myatt, an education advisor, who spoke about starting a career in education and giving advice to the professionals in attendance. Most of whom were NQTs just embarking on their future careers, in schools across Norfolk and Suffolk.

The intention of the festival is to empower education professionals to tackle big issues with confidence, to collaborate and to share research. This will be vital if we are to ensure students starting in education today, who will leave education in 2030, have the skills required to thrive in the future.
