I was delighted to meet with the Rural Agricultural Chaplain for Suffolk Graham Miles recently. Graham and I discussed his work in reaching out to our farming and rural communities, whilst thanking him for all he does for our local area.

Graham is available to farming communities who may be struggling with their mental health or who just want a sympathetic ear to chat with. Graham is from a farming background and understands the problems challenges farmers, their families and farm workers may be facing. Graham works closely with other organisations such as FCN, YANA, Princes Countryside Trust & Rural police.

Graham has been one of the many amazing supportive services who have continued to operate since the very first lookdown, lockdown, he has been phoning farmers on a weekly basis and in between lockdowns visiting farmers and their families. Graham is available 24/7 on either 07413683368 or [email protected] for anyone needing his help.

I informed the Prime Minister recently of my decision to stand down at the next election. It has been a privilege & honour to serve the people of Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket. I wish my successor all the best in representing this most wonderful part of our United Kingdom.
