Jo Churchill has been chosen from a shortlist of four following an extensive selection process, culminating in a vote of local party members on Tuesday 4th November.
The Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023, also known as the Tips Bill, has received Royal Assent this week. The bill will help to ensure that workers in the hospitality industry receive the tips and gratuities given by customers, rather than businesses retaining them.
I am fortunate to visit many fantastic local businesses of all sizes and from all sectors. Across the constituency, large organisations like Greene King, British Sugar, and Muntons to fabulous growing businesses like Treatts, and SMEs such as Stow Healthcare and the Angel hotel.
I know how important West Suffolk Hospital is to everyone in our community. It is a service that we all rely on and we are lucky to have a local hospital with fantastic staff in our town.
