I informed the Prime Minister recently of my decision to stand down at the next election. It has been a privilege & honour to serve the people of Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket. I wish my successor all the best in representing this most wonderful part of our United Kingdom.    

Reading Well for Dementia

The Reading Agency's Reading Well for Dementia programme has seen over 3.8m books borrowed from libraries since 2013. They’re doing fantastic work in providing books for those living with dementia, their carers and family.

Local businesses and constituents are concerned about retail crime and I have spoken to Mark Cordell of the BID and the police about the issue. So I am pleased that the government has announced their Fighting Retail Crime plan.

West Suffolk Sands Support Group offers emotional support for parents who have been affected by baby loss. I recently met with Isobel, Kira, Jacqui and Angela, all Sands volunteers to hear more about their work and specific issues that affect parents.
